Walstonburg, North Carolina TESOL Online & Teaching English Jobs
To sum up, the content of this unit was about the relationship between teachers and learners both adults and young learners and the qualities they should have in order to make the lesson productive and successful. Teachers should love their work, should be kind respectful encouraging students to work and motivating them in a sensitive way. On the other side, learners would appreciate how the teacher approaches him/her and if the teacher is good then the learner will most likely be good and enjoy the procedure of learning. Of course there are differences depending on the age the culture and the previous learning experience of the learners. I feel that I've learnt about the differencies between young learners and adults, that there is a different approach of the teacher when it comes to do with their motivation, their language awareness, their nervousness and their behaviour. I've learnt that in order to achieve a specific task in the class I should be able to switch between the roles, like in some stages of the lesson if I shoud have a leading role I would be acting like the controller, the model or the organizer of the class. But if choosing a more withdrawn role, I should switch on the prompter,or the participant or the observer.
