Unit 16 covered conditionals and reported speech. I have learned that there are five forms of conditional speech; zero, first, second, third and mixed. I also learned several teaching ideas to aid teaching of conditional speech. With regards to direct and reported speech my key take away from the lesson was that teaching it can be confusing for students given all the verb tense changes, time expression changes etc. I now know that when teaching direct and reported speech the key is to be clear and go slowly.
