Unit 3 focuses on ESA as most effective tool in learning English language. ESA is Engage, Study and Activate by J. Harmer. Under engage means to get learners to thinking and speaking English. Learners are given more talk time. Study is to know what the learners know and what needs still to be developed by eliciting information. Lots of drills are necessary at this stage, correction of mistakes are dealt or discussed during feedback. Under the activate stage, students are required to do an actual production of what they know and learned in a realistic way. No interruption of activity should be made because the objective is fluency rather than accuracy. Any problems, mistakes or errors are discussed after the activity during feedback. By doing feedback, the students would know their progress in the use of English language.
