Many people degrade the future. Saying “It won’t be a nice place“ but I say it will be great, because that’s where I intend to spent the rest of my life. Future tenses are natural to a native speaker. This is because of continuous use and correction since childhood. We learn to speak correctly by ear, later in grade school we try to fit rules around our language. Returning to the study of rules, grammar, parts of speech and tenses I now find this area of study extremely interesting. As a college student it was not, it was very arduous task work. I have friends who are from other countries who struggle with tenses. They feel they will never speak as an American even though they are completely fluent and functional.
I am studying Thai and I have the same feelings. The study of language is an interesting area and the application of these future tenses when teaching will be an experience.
