In this part we are explained the difference between past tenses such as simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous. It describes how to notice the difference between the four as they are all in the past. you have to keep an eye out is the action in progress still or has it finished by the time something happened. Biggest help here for me was understanding how to use past perfect continuous and noticing it mainly by recognizing "had been" in a given sentence.
