I believe that lesson plans are important part of the teacher's arsenal. Not only do lesson plans keep the objectives and the what they are planning to teach, but also provide a path on how to reach the end. Lesson plans should never be considered "written in stone" but a guide as to where and how the road does. Flexibility is necessary as it allows students to have time to ask questions that they may not have thought of previously.
