this unit covers the continuation of the tenses of the English langauage. The past tenses is not too different from the present tenses except that past tenses obviously relate to past time periods, a tense expressing an action that has happened or a state that previously existed.
In English grammar, the past tense is one of the inflected forms of a verb and this unit provides guide to the structure and usage that a teacher needs to understand in order to easily pass it on to students. In some languages, past or present tenses dont exist so it makes it difficult for learners of english language to grasp, making it difficult for teachers to teach, but this unit has simplified it in attracting ways by introducing activity ideas to it.
I have learnt that when identifying a sentence's tense, i should focus on the structure rather than its usage. The structure is what dictates the tense used. I have gained different activity ideas to elicit students and give them a better understanding and proper usage of the past tenses.
