Within this unit, I have learned the effective ways to manage a class in order to provide a good learning environment for students. The classroom should be set up in a way to enable students to feel comfortable, and not intimidated by the teacher or other classmates. When considering the set it is important to know the size of the class, the personalities of students, and the age. These factors are also important influences on how a teacher should approach a class; how long the teacher should talk; what type of activities either group, pair or solo actives; as well as the position the teacher should take in the room. By analysing all of these factors, the classroom and learning environment can be customised to the individuals in the class which provides a better learning environment and allows the teacher to gain more rapport with students.
