This course Unit was particularly short, but I did get me thinking about using course books. As a teacher who teachers the martial arts, I typically come up with my own material and class work every week. I realize the benefits of using a course book when you might get something like writer's block (creative material idea block). Also, it can give you new ideas for class work so you are not using the same type of material week after week. I do understand the overuse of a course book, that is why a preferably think of lesson plans myself. I feel their is no one who knows my students and their ability with likes and dislikes than me. That be said, I will find the course book of my liking and teaching style and correct level for students, and use it when necessary
