I learned that the Future Tense was a lot more difficult and challenging than I had initially anticipated going into the lesson. There is a great deal of nuance in the various different forms, especially when it comes to predictions. The Future Simple and the Present Simple (w/future intent) seems like it was designed to confuse people, at least from a strictly grammatical point of view. Ideally, the students should have a strong grasp on the Present Simple before the various Future Tenses are introduced. The future perfect and the future perfect continuous forms see such limited usage in conversational dialogue that it seems like it might be hard to relate them to the student's learned experiences.
