From this unit I have learned various teaching techniques, methods, and the advantages of using said methods. Being a hands on learner, I really benefited from the examples and worksheet samples provided in this lesson. I definitely plan on using the ESA method in future classes. The ESA method seems to incorporate all the beneficial parts of a good teacher and a great classroom setting. The “Engage” feature sets the tone and will enable students to feel relaxed and ready to participate! (In my middle school we called those ‘warm-ups’). “Study” is perfect right after because it allows the students to really hone in on the lesson and the fine parts of such. Then they must apply what they learn in “Activate” which reinforces the lesson. Brilliant!
