I have always been a firm believer in making a plan. Within my plan set I always have a "plan A," a "plan B,", and even a "plan C." I firmly believe that this provides structure and balance to have an idea of what you are going to do when you approach each class. This is not to say that the plan cannot be altered based on the needs of the students (hence the plan Bs and Cs), however I think it is unwise to not at least start off with something written down. I felt the lesson plan template that was offered was very good and intend to download it and use it as a great guide for building lessons in the future. I particularly like the idea of assessing my own performance of each lesson after the fact as this is not something I have ever thought to do, but definitely think it can only benefit myself and my class if I took the time out to really evaluate how things went. Things that worked well I can store away for the future and things that did not go as well I can make tweaks to ensure it goes smoother the next time I attempt that lesson.
