Unit 9 deals with the principles of lesson planning. The reasons for lesson planning ,what is required in lesson planning and how it should be presented at the classroom level. It may not be necessary for some experienced teachers to concentrate on a lesson plan in class but writing one is important.The reasons are;
- A lesson plan helps to keep you on target and gives you something to refer to during the lesson.
- A lesson plan acts as a record of what a class has done and which materials have been .
- It also remains you of what you expect the students to achieve by the end of the lesson and how you intend to make that possible.
It should be noted that there is no special way in which a plan must be written. Each teacher has to find their own way. In conclusion teachers have to make their own self evaluation to see what went well and where the lesson could be improved .
