Within this unit, the subject of evaluation and testing of students was introduced. We looked at different ways of evaluating students' levels and progress. It has highlighted the need to evaluate students's English such as to determine whether students are making progress in their learning, Also to give an idea of a students's language level and where to be placed during the entrance period, and will also let the teacher know if the aims of the lessons are being met or if changes are needed. It is also useful because teachers can easily refare to these tests and evaluation to provide them with aim and target when teaching there students. This unit has also looked into other external testing and their use and recognition internationally , also how to approach them with your students in order to get them ready . I feel that this unit has given more light to the use of testing and evaluating your students with examples of the approach to differents levels and how important it is to test all four skills of the language.
