This unit introduces use to four essential components of learning/teaching a language. This unit focuses on receptive skills: reading and listening. It introduces us to the skill set needed of a reader, such as skimming, scanning, and the more detailed understanding portion of the language. It is a shorter lesson than most but it provides us with sample worksheets for the class and then builds our lesson planning skill set by having us create sample activities and lesson plans based upon these worksheets.
