I find this Unit particularity good in teaching not only the reason why a teacher needs to use the reading and listening skill set, but also how to use it. I learned that reading is a lot easier to teach and method to teach with. However, that being said, audio is just as important, just because unfortunately subtitles do not pop up in the air when someone is speaking. In learning a second language, one should be comfortable with both the reading and listening set skill. As an example, if a foreigner was to go to New York City from Japan, he or she would want to be able to read on the fancy signs to know what shops are and will they are going, as well as, be able to speak and understand English to make their trip more enjoyable and possibly make friends.
