Unit 3 provided me with profound information on various EFL approaches, methods and techniques; taught me how to spot differences between existing approaches and understand their pros and cons. I've learnt that the most efficient approach nowadays is ESA approach including 3 phases (engage phase, study phase, activate phase) as well as 3 kinds of lessons (straight-arrow, boomerang, patchwork). Besides, this unit outlined the ways of making corrections and giving feedback. Moreover, I found out what the difference between 'a mistake' and 'an error'is. A mistake is considered to be a slip of the tongue or a pen, while an error is usually more deeply ingrained.
