This unit gives an overview of the various equipment, materials, and resources a teacher may have access to during their course. The resources available and those that are most useful will vary depending on what the school has and what the students need. The important takeaway from this unit, however, is that the teacher should be flexible, and should have an idea of how to use multiple resources and materials for the same purpose. If a piece of equipment fails, then the teacher should have a backup of how to do the lesson without it, for example. The teacher may find that he or she must work with what they have, but this can still lead to an effective language lesson.
