this unit covers the present tenses of the English langauage. It talks about how the present tenses predominantly describes a current event or state of being. However, somewhat unusually, the present tense can also be used to describe past and future events.
Present tenses is an important area of English grammar and this unit provides guide to the structure and usage that a teacher needs to understand in order to easily pass it on to students.
I have learnt that when identifying a sentence's tense, i should focus on the structure rather than the usage. i have gained different activity ideas to elicit students and give them a better understanding and proper usage of the present tenses.
