The unit is focused on the importance of pronunciation in the teaching of a language. It is taught how intonation and stress of a sentence or a word play a fundamental role in the process of learning English. I believe that stress, intonation and phonics are the most difficult part of a language, either to teach and to learn. I am a non-native speaker, and I experienced the whole process of learning English, before being a teacher myself. In both cases stress and phonics are the hardest obstacle to face. This unit provides some useful material to learn how to teach these topics in an appropriate way.
