There are several methods and techniques in English Foreign language teaching, each method has its minuses and pluses so it hard to say which is the best to use. I guess it all depends upon the individual circumstances, the culture of the learners and their needs.
As my goal to teach the English to the learners who surrounded by their native language, few but not many have the exposure to the language and the opportunity to put what they learn into practice daily I probably would start with the Presentation, Practice & Production, Audio, and Communicative methods. I also believed words and phrases are as important as a grammatical structure for the English language acquisition.
