Unit 9 discussed lesson planning. I do agree that it is important to have lesson plans because it helps teacher to set expectation of student's achievements for each lesson incorporating time management. The lesson plan can also serve as a working document for the teacher to refer back to in order to modify/improve the quality/flexibility of the class. Lastly, the lesson plan can be a record of what the class has accomplished which then helps the next lesson plan. I like the sample lesson plan included in Unit 9 as it uses the ESA method and incorporates the key points of what should be included in a typical lesson plan.
