In this unit, we learned about the future tenses. We learned their form, usage, typical mistakes/errors made by students learning that tense, and teaching ideas for every tense. I was surprised to learn that there were seven different future tenses. That seemed a lot to me, considering the past and present tenses only have four tenses each. This unit was easy in that I knew everything intuitively already. The hard part was putting words to the differences between the tenses. While I was going through the unit and working on the worksheet at the end, I found myself picturing past conversations and movie dialogues to confirm that the usages were indeed consistent with what I know. The most important thing I learned from this unit was how to describe the subtle differences in the usages between the different future tenses.
