I have learned differences between placement test and diagnostic test. I knew that those two tests are similar, but I did not know exactly the differences between two. The placement test is for teachers to see to grade students' language level and decide where to group the students. On the other hand, the diagnostic test is similar to the placement test, but it is usually given at the start of the course to see what students already know and help them to prepare for the future lesson. As I was an ESL student, I had those two tests before starting the course, but I did now know what it was for. It was a great unit to guide students where to start.
