This unit firstly lists the most common methods and techniques that people used for learning and teaching language. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages and should be used appropriately under different circumstances. Nowadays the most effective and logical methodology for new teachers to learn and apply in the classroom is Engage-Study-Activate (ESA) which is also the main focus throughout this course. The emphasis of the three activities included in this methodology depends on language level of the students. After completing this unit, I have learnt that, as a good teacher, we require to know the types of mistake/error that the students might make during the class and also be aware of the way that we correct their mistake/error.
