In this unit talks about theories. There are some theories have used for a long time but still use it in the present day such as Grammar- Translation, Audio-Lingualism and etc. And this unit suggest to use 'ESA' theory (Engage, study, and activate)which it's from Jeremy Harmer.This theory has involved all the theories that at first mention before. It can be used not only three stages but it can be adapted from the same stages to be more and flexibility. Beside that, there are many techniques for games, activities in each stage are given. Also correction techniques are mentioned.
What I have learned from this, first I understand theories and I found out that one of those theories is based from the way of human natural learning like Audio- Lingualism. and I understand that students have different way to get information, so that I can use theology, methods ,and techniques from this lesson into practice to help my students.
