I have watched two videos about effective and ineffective teaching style. First video was how ineffective teacher was teaching.He did not introduce himself, neither asked students their names. Students were confused and discouraged. He did not engage students well, asking questions by indicating them instead of taking their names. he started the lesson without doing Engage phase.
The second video was how effectively teacher teach the lesson. on entering he introduce himself, ask students their names. He started with engage phase, moving to study and activate stage. He used straightarrow ESA lesson. Involved each and every student in the class .
