In this unit we learn how and why we should create lesson plans. There are many important reasons for lesson planning as this unit highlighted. It's important to have a plan for class so that you can look at it quickly, it's important to have in case you are not there for the lesson, it's important to have goals and outcomes for the students for the end of class and clear planned procedures to make this possible. It is also important that the plan is flexible as problems or difficulties may arise during class that you might need to spend extra time in. The unit also highlights different elements of a well planned lesson plan. There should be learner objectives, personal aims, language points, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedures and the phase in which each part of the lesson is in, there should be clear timing for the lesson, and shown who students are interacting with in each part of the lesson, the level of the class should be written along with the number of students, lastly there should be a date and a time. All of these elements will allow for a well thought out and planned lesson.
