The unit serves as a guideline for the creation of a lesson plan. It is important to notice though that a lesson plan should never be taken as an inflexible schedule, but it is more important to use it to give a general direction to the lesson, with clear objectives for the learners and the teacher, but that during the lesson it might need to vary depending on the learners needs. A lesson plan is also useful to prevent and anticipate certain problems.
