This unit covers the future tenses,their forms, usages and teaching ideas to help with lesson planning.
There are seven main areas when talking about the future tenses. These are, the future simple, the future continuous, the future perfect, the future perfect continuous, the be going to (future), the present simple and the present continuous.
After the completion of this unit I have gained a better understanding of how to distinguish between the present continuous and the 'going to' future form. I have also learnt that when creating or identifying the tense of a sentence it is important to focus on the structure of the sentence as this is what determines the tense of the sentence.
