Then, various techniques are presented for receptive skills, which will be used most likely by a reader/listener depending on his/her purposes.
Most importantly, the unit examines how to increase motivation in learners regarding receptive skills, which if not properly handled could also result in discouraging them. Choosing a wide range of topics over time, create interest in the learners (especially in learners less interested in a specific topic) and proposing the right comprehension task are all aspects that need to be taken in consideration in order to improve the motivation in learners.
