This unit focuses on the Present Tense system that we use on daily basis for language learning. It says that the major three tenses in English are the present, the past and the future, which are subdivided into twelve tenses. This unit explores knowledge about present tense and other grammar points which include the form of grammatical construction, the usage, the typical errors that students make and the activities during the Activate stage of a lesson. Throughout the systematic study of Present Tense system, I understand the classification of Present Tense and learnt the teaching ideas to explore the grammar points to students. The study of tense system could be difficult and confusing but still can be fully absorbed by student through repetitive practice and hard work in a certain period of time. Our aim is to make students’ learning process easier and smoother at each grammar point.
