In this unit, there are 2 videos, the videos are about a real lesson taken in the same classroom with the same students and the same teacher, however there are few differences in the videos. The lesson point is about modal auxiliary verb: have to and can/can’t, so the teacher’s behavior is different from the first video to the second video, mainly in the first video, the students were confused and didn’t understand the lesson because the teacher was impulsive and didn’t make a clear explanation, demonstration of the activities while in the second video, students were more active, the teacher’s attitude and work helped them to understand and enjoy their course.
I learnt how the teacher’s behavior from the teacher affect the student, the first impression that stays in student’s mind is really important. In the videos, the teacher used ESA method and it’s very easy to recognize it, also the lesson was organized, and as an observer I could see that. I also liked some useful activities that the teacher prepared for them, that I think are really interesting for this grammar lesson and that is convenient for the student’s level.
