What I learned in this unit was how the teaching style of a teacher could severely impact what is learned from the students during a lesson. The first video showed a very unsuccessful lesson, where the teacher did a number of things that discouraged the students, did not give clear examples, instructions, or presentation information that confused the students, and wrote in a way that covered the board with his body. The second video showed an engaged, caring teacher who learned the students names, spoke slower and more clearly, encouraged the students, and made sure they understood what was being taught.
