In this unit the production skills (writing and speaking) are presented.
Firstly, the speaking is examined in detail, and the difference between accuracy and fluency is explained. Accuracy should be the main aim during study phase, while fluency should be the main focus during activate phase. Suggestions and instruction on how to conduct succesful speaking activities are then given, taking in consideration the best techniques, the motivation and interest of the students and methods on how to encourage them. To conclude the speaking section, useful and schematic guidelines are given.
Secondly, the writing is taken into exam, showing the different most important aspects (spelling, punctuation, handwriting).
Finally, the importance of using games during the lesson is stressed, with some suggestions on where to find the rules to be then adapted for teaching English language, in order to improve the engagement of the students.
