For new and inexperienced teachers, a lesson plan is very important. When we do up a lesson plan, it helps us plan out our lessons thoroughly, as it requires to look into details such as the time allocation for each segment, the materials/tools needed for each segment, what are our lessons objectives and what we want our students to gain out of the lesson. Planning meaningful lessons serves an aid to planning, it is also a working document which we can fall back to during lesson time and it's also a record for us to see what we've already taught the class.
