In this unit, I learned a lot about what goes into a given lesson or method of teaching. It's very important to maintain a variety of teaching, in order to keep students engaged, interested, and eager to practice speaking and writing in English. I think the main thing I took from this unit is the ESA teaching process from Jeremy Harmer. It is essential that students are motivated, exposed to the English language, and lastly have an opportunity to use it. These three things make up the process that is Engage, Study, and Activate. The teacher's goal is to pull the students in, get them interested and participating, then study/teach new material, and lastly practice what they have learned.
