Being able to relate the spoken English language to the written,can be very confusing for students. Words don't always sound the way they are written. One way to improve spelling is by encouraging students to read as much as possible. After reading this chapter I realise that their will be many individual personal issues regarding handwriting and pronunciation which could cause negative perceptions. This is an issue I am now aware of and will keep in mind. I like the fact that games can be incorporated into teaching. This will make learning in class fun yet controlled at the same time.
