To sum up this unit, I can say that it started by presenting qualities that a good teacher should have, then it shows the roles and responsibilities of teachers with details. After that, it shows the qualities of a good learner, and defines what are the differences between young learners and adults also highlights the cultural effect for learners. Later on, the unit presents clear distinctions between different levels in English language and at the end shows student's motivation.
I learnt that as a teacher, I should have some necessary qualities in order to be a good teacher also I learnt about all teachers roles and what are the most important ones, for example being a resource, an assessor and prompter are vital because encouragement helps students to be confident and to go further, being available also help them for an immediate satisfaction and help them to solve quickly their own difficulties, also assessing help them to clear their minds, to correct mistakes and avoid them in the future. I also learnt how teaching for adults can be different from teaching young learners, since their motivation, their awareness and will to learn are not the same. Also I learnt how to differentiate between all levels in English from beginners to advanced.
