Through unit nine, I learned the importance of creating a simple and clear lesson plan; a flexible guide filled with a range of activities that fit the crucial building blocks of class structure - ENGAGE, STUDY and ACTIVATE
It is important that in the ENGAGE section of a lesson, the students get a sound understanding of the class grammar point/vocabulary via pictures, fun word games or a brief class conversation. Then, in the STUDY section, the students should repeat and drill the objectives of the lesson e.g. grammar structure, vocabulary through worksheets or repetition. Finally, the students should ACTIVATE what they have the words they have learned through a dynamic and engaging activity.
