This unit contains information from unit 3 on theories, methods and techniques. I have noticed that all aspects of this course of study are related. I therefore had to use my prior knowledge to complete this unit. Coursebooks, authentic materials and created materials are all essential in the teaching of English. An experienced teacher will incorporate the use of all of the above for an effective lesson. The use of coursebooks only can make the lesson predictable for the students. Some students enjoy the use of authentic materials as it is relatable. Teachers as well sometimes enjoy the process of creating materials for their classes based on the needs and levels of the students.
