This lesson states that it is important to keep your students engaged and interested in the learning content as well as effectively teach them new content. There are various methods in which you can do this, however, the focus of the lesson was the ESA method in which should involve three stages at least one time during the lesson. I learned that having a balance of the three stages are very important because each stage is beneficial to the learning process. Engage is to make the students interested. Study is to help them understand the correct forms of things. Activate is to have the students produce the language and have fun with it. In my opinion, using all three methods allows the language to continually be interesting and not burdensome.
