This unit teaches us the different forms of past tenses. Like the present tenses, the past tenses have past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. Each form has its own unique usages. Similar to present tenses, past tenses use the same structure, but the verb is in the past tense. For an example, present continuous uses is/are, but past continuous uses was/were. I felt that I learned how to understand the structure of my sentence when I write or speak. Generally, Native English speakers do not really understand the parts of their sentence structures. They just speak it naturally. After reading this lesson, I have a clearer understanding of how my sentences are structured, and this will help me improve my writing skill.
