In continuation of the previous unit, this unit discusses on teaching receptive skills, particularly on productive skills which are speaking and writing. I was made to understand the importance of writing and the differences between fluency and accuracy and in what stages of the ESA these would normally focus on. I was also shown examples of a typical speaking and writing activities both using the straight arrow ESA method. I also learnt about games in the classroom, these add an element of fun while learning. The unit also highlighted a list of some games that are used in the classroom. I learnt there are 2 types of games, competitive and cooperative. I personally think one of the reasons for using games is to try to be as creative as possible which will help the students learn easier and in some cases maybe quicker.
