This unit is about materials and books used in the classroom and what options are available to teachers. Often a textbook is used in the classroom so a good teacher should add to the textbook and or omit lessons to better suit the needs of their lessons. Ways to this is by using authentic materials and created materials. Authentic materials should be used to generate interest in activities, while creative materials should be better matched to the target language and the student’s levels. I have learned that it is important to have a lot of resources for both types of materials because having various activities will help aid the classes interest in the lesson.
