In this unit, I have learned about parts of speech, an important area of learning English.Knowing that a sentence structure consists of not only subject and verb, but there are many other purposes and function of each word. For instance, nouns, adjectives, articles, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, prepositions, and conjunction. I also learned that each part of speech has a further explanation which carries a different function, for example, Nouns divided into singular and plurals and has some main types, like a common noun, proper noun, compound noun, abstract noun and collective nouns. Once I am able to identify the functions of these part of speech, I will not face difficult problems or confusion in the future with sentences formation and will able to deliver the lesson smoothly in the classroom.
