This lesson introduced us to the 4 types of the Present Tense, as well as the 3 categories they may take. All forms of the tense may be Positive, Negative, or Questions. The first type is the simple tense which is used to denote habits or facts. The second type is the continuous which is used for ongoing actions and often uses verbs ending in "-ing". The third type is the perfect which is for action which occurred in the general past and utilizes "have". Finally, the perfect continuous is for ongoing actions which began in the past, making use of "have"+"been".
