It was interesting and informative to watch an actual lesson being conducted. Comparing the two lessons -effective teaching vs ineffective teaching, provided me some insight into what techniques would be useful in a session and what techniques should be avoided. I definitely came away recognizing that lessons have to be kept simple and straight forward. One should avoid trying to teach too many concepts at one time. I also saw how important it is to engage the students in the lesson from the engage stage on through the study and activate stages to help with the whole learning process.
