This lesson reiterates the importance of all the functions of English and how they come together in order for the language to have meaning and be communicable. When students learn English, they need exposure, understanding of the structures, understanding of the vocabulary, and practice in order to produce it. Our roles as instructors are to effectively get this across to students by making different activities, selecting appropriate vocabulary, introducing new structures, and combining it all together to make a type of ESA lesson that teaches the language effectively.
