Just as the present tense was discussed in unit 4, the 4 aspects of the past tense were highlighted in this unit. The form, usages, students errors and activate stage ideas were also addressed in this unit. The past tense is not much different from other tenses like the present or the future. From my personal understanding of these, knowing when and how to use these tenses as well as being able to properly identify the tenses in a sentence structure is really important for teachers to understand so they can be able to effectively correct and teach students how to use them. This is what I learnt from this unit.
